Here are easy ways to lose weight.

by

While turmeric is responsible for giving curry dishes that bold yellow hue, the spice does more than just add flavor to Indian dishes - it is also a powerful spice which helps in weight-loss

Chickpeas seem to be everywhere lately - and for good reason: they're high in protein, fiber, folate, and zinc. And in a small study, chickpeas have also been shown to aid in weight loss

If you want to lose weight, upping the amount of pulses in your diet could be a good place to start.
New research has found that eating one portion of beans, peas, chickpeas or lentils per day could contribute to "modest weight loss".

Try adding some of these foods to your diet to promote weight loss, like almond, coconut,

Mix 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon with Add a cup of hot water to the cinnamon, let cool. Add a full teaspoon of raw, organic honey to the cinnamon/water mixture after it has cooled.

Foods most likely to cause cancer

by

msn

High consumption of dairy and calcium products and the development prostate cancer was discovered. Results showed that the men with the highest consumption rates of dairy were more likely to develop prostate cancer than those who consumed less.

In a study published in the Journal of BMC Medicine, researchers wrote that the excessive salts and chemicals used to make processed meats are dangerous to health. Study participants who ate 160 grams or more of processed meats increased their risk of early death as much as 44 percent within 12 years, as opposed to those who ate 20 grams or less.

The chemical, which is sometimes referred to as brominated flour, speeds up the manufacturing process and helps whiten and add bulk to bread and grain-based products. But that comes at a serious cost to the consumer: The additive has been linked to nervous-system disorders and has been identified as a potential human carcinogen by a number of health organizations. For this reason, the European Union, U.K., Canada, and Brazil don’t allow potassium bromate to be used.

Cancer cells thrive on fructose-rich sweeteners such as high-fructose corn syrup. HFCS is metabolized by cancer cells more quickly and easily than other sweeteners; check for it on nutrition labels and avoid it.

Postmenopausal women with the highest saturated fat intake increased their risk of breast cancer by over 30 percent compared to those who ate the least. As you get older, try to decrease your consumption of foods high in saturated fats, such as highly-processed snacks made with vegetable oils.

Here are the reasons your are always tired

by

Fatigue, along with headaches, weakness, and dizziness it could be from anemia, a blood disorder that occurs when there aren’t enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen from your lungs to cells and tissues. Most  common form is iron-deficiency anemia.

Depression,  mental disorder also affects people physically, including increased fatigue, aches, and trouble sleeping. If you notice any of these symptoms, visit your doctor or a psychiatrist for a proper diagnosis.

Chronic tiredness is one of the first indicators that someone might have diabetes, along with being thirsty all the time, hunger, and frequent urination. Visit your doctor to get your blood sugar levels tested with a fasting plasma glucose test or an oral glucose tolerance test.

Underactive thyroid, or hypothyroidism, it means your body isn’t getting enough thyroid hormone, and your cells don’t get that “get going” signal leading to sluggishness. Chronic fatigue is one of the 10 Signs You Have an Under active Thyroid, along with weight gain, high cholesterol, and a lower sex drive.

Constantly tired your body might actually need more replenishing water than caffeine to stay alert dehydration can quickly sap a person of energy and have us reaching for food, pour yourself a glass of water and be sure you’re drinking at least 64 ounces a day.

Without enough water your body does not function normally

by

Without enough water in your system, your body does not function normally. Your blood becomes thicker, and the heart has to work harder to pump. This decreases the efficiency of the blood to get nutrients to the body, and it slows you down.

Dehydration can also interrupt normal brain function, draining your energy supply even further. Instead, sip on water all day, and you’ll notice your energy levels surge.

When you’re dehydrated, saliva production decreases, leaving your mouth and lips feeling dry. Dry mouth can also make your breath stinky, because bacteria has the chance to linger longer when it’s not being washed away on the reg.

Cramping has been connected to dehydration and a sodium deficit in the body. Exertional heat cramping, or full body cramping, may be related to sodium depletion and fluid loss especially in individuals who are salty sweaters. In this case, sipping on an electrolyte sports drink can be helpful to restore the natural mineral balance in the body.

Simply consuming the recommended eight to ten, eight ounce glasses of water on a daily basis is crucial to maintain a healthy body not just in the summer months but throughout the year.

Keep in mind that dehydration is not the only condition that affects heart rate. Rapid heart rate or palpitations can also indicate a more serious medical condition. That being said, if your heart rate does not return to normal after drinking water, you should consult a medical professional.

It’s important to be properly hydrated before you start exercising, particularly if you are going to be active in the heat.

Even in cooler weather, dehydration is possible if you don’t drink enough fluids while working out. According to Higgins, symptoms may be milder or come on slower, but dehydration carries the same risks, regardless of the outside temperature.

In infants, so-called dehydration fever may develop if there is inadequate fluid intake, diarrhea, or vomiting. Any fever in an infant or toddler is cause for concern. Ask your pediatrician for guidelines on when to call for help.

These are the Ways to Age in Reverse

by

Start your day with a filling, high-protein omelet and enjoy younger-looking skin in no time. Eggs are a great way to load your diet with antioxidants of lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants, which have been linked to increased collagen production, helping you reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that can age you.

Slugs aren’t the only things that shrivel up in the presence of salt —your brain does, too. Research published in Nature Reviews Neurology reveals that hypertension, a condition exacerbated by a high-sodium diet, can decrease the size of the hippocampus, causing premature brain aging.

You don’t have to lift your body weight or clock hours of high-intensity cardio to enjoy the youthfulness-promoting effects of exercise; just taking a daily walk can help flip the hourglass. Research published in Preventive Medicine reveals that individuals who got the most exercise turned the clock back on the cellular aging process by a whopping nine years.

Go ahead, indulge your inner chocoholic. Research published in the Journal of Hypertension reveals that cocoa flavanols significantly improved endothelial function in older patients, but not in their younger counterparts. Brownies, anyone?

Sip your way to a healthier, more youthful body with some black tea. A single cup of black tea packs 47 percent of your daily manganese, which researchers at the University of Oregon have linked to increased production of skin-smoothing collagen.

4 types of tea can help to melt fat in your body

by

White tea is  a rich source of catechins, a type of antioxidant that triggers the release of fat from the cells and helps speed the liver’s ability to turn fat into energy. Who needs Spanx when you can just sip on this powerful brew, Speed up your slim down when you alternate sipping cups of white tea.

Barberry shrub contains berberine–a powerful, naturally occurring, fat-frying chemicalconsuming the plant can boost energy expenditure and help decrease the number of receptors on the surface of fat cells, making them less apt to absorb incoming sources of flubber. Sounds like a good reason to have an other cup of tea to us.

Rooibos bush are powerful fat-melters.  polyphenols and flavonoids found in the plant inhibits adipogenesis  the formation of new fat cells–by as much as 22 percent. In most cases Mega dozes of Vitamins may be harmful

by

Generally peoples think that Vitamins are essential for our daily healthy life it keeps out us away from hospitals and number of diseases. but as per scientific research mega dozes of vitamins and minerals may be harmful for our daily life.

In most cases Mega dozes of Vitamins  may be harmful

Beta-carotene some peoples takes as anti cancer antioxidant but its high doze can increase risk of lung cancer (in the form of vitamin A) is 3,000 IU for males and 2,130 IU for females.

Some women takes folic acid to reduce the risk of neural tube defects in newborns, some women take it while pregnant but high doz could be fueling rising rates of colon cancer.

Some people take selenium to prevent cancer, especially prostate cancer. But taking selenium could actually increase risk of high-grade prostate cancer in men who were already high in the mineral. it could also be one of the worst supplements for diabetes.

Some people take VITAMIN C to protect against the common cold, but a review of 30 clinical trials found no evidence that vitamin C prevents colds. There are some exceptions though: It may reduce the risk in people who live in cold climates or experience extreme physical stress.

Vitamin E— been thought to prevent heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's disease. elements , but high doses may increase the risk of strokes.

There are claims that the mineral can prevent and treat symptoms of the common cold, but the evidence doesn't hold up. A few studies suggest that cold symptoms are less severe and resolve sooner in zinc users, but others show no benefit. Plus, high doses can actually weaken the immune system, so you might want to stick with these ways to treat a cold instead.

Never eat these foods for flat stomach

by

Stomach bloating is unfortunately a normal and natural part of life.

But some foods cause more bloat than others.

That's because many of these foods contain nutrients that our bodies can't digest, like lactose, a natural sugar that's found in dairy.

FODMAPs are another example. These short-chain carbohydrates can't be digested by the small intestine, so instead they end up in the large intestine, which is where they're fermented by bacteria. This fermentation process causes gas and bloating.

While not eating or drinking the foods and beverages listed below won't help you lose weight or get washboard abs, it will help you avoid bloating, and will thus have you looking leaner

Dairy
Dairy products like cheese and milk can cause digestion issues - especially if you're lactose intolerant or sensitive. Lactose is a natural sugar that's found in dairy products, and those who are lactose intolerant don't have the enzymes needed to break down this sugar.

Luckily, there are plenty of dairy substitutes out there, like soy or almond milk, which are ideal for those who are lactose intolerant or just looking to avoid dairy.

Calciferous vegetables

Broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and kale all fall under the category of cruciferous vegetables. These foods are high in a number of nutrients like folate, vitamin C, and fiber. They're even thought to help prevent cancer.

But they also contain raffinose, a type of carbohydrate that our bodies can't break down because we lack a certain enzyme to do so. Instead, raffinose is fermented by bacteria, a primary cause of gas and bloating.

If you don't want to give up these vegetables, try roasting or steaming them to make them easier to digest.

Foods high in sodium

Our bodies' natural reaction to eating too much salt is to retain water, and when the body holds on to water, it bloats.

As a guideline, most healthy people should be capping their sodium intake at 2,300 mg per day. Those who have diabetes or high blood pressure, or who are over 50, should only be consuming 1,500 mg per day.

Packaged and processed foods, like canned soups, deli meats, and pre-made sauces, commonly contain large amounts of sodium.

Alcohol

Just like high-sodium foods, alcohol causes the body to retain water, leading to puffiness and bloating. Drinking can also trigger constipation, which leaves people feeling bloated as well.

Watermelon

It might be hard to believe that watermelon could do anything to your body, considering it's mostly water. But it contains plenty of fructose, a natural sugar that gives the fruit its sweetness. Many people are unable to absorb fructose, which is why watermelon can lead to bloating.
Legumes

Legumes refer to plants that grow fruit in the form of a pod. Examples include beans, peas, lentils, and soybeans. These foods are all high in fiber and protein, which is what makes them good for you, but also what makes them hard to digest.

Because legumes are packed with fiber that our bodies can't absorb, our gut bacteria goes to work on them instead, which causes gas and bloating.

To avoid this, try eating legumes with whole grains that are easy to digest like rice or quinoa, or soak dried beans overnight, which helps to break down non digestible fiber.

Yogurt

When it comes to yogurt, it all depends on what kind you're consuming. Plain yogurt can actually help your stomach because it contains probiotics, which are known to regulate digestion.

However, if you're eating flavored yogurt that's high in sugar, you'll have more fermentation going on in your body, which means more gas and bloating.

The Dangers of Artificial Sweeteners: Obesity, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and Heart Disease

by

Diets are all the rage, and it's big business. Practically each year (for decades now) some new diet shows up claiming to be the best one, because they say so. But does it actually provide a healthy nutritional profile?

Whether you're on an actual diet or not, there are plenty of so-called "diet" foods for you to buy and consume. There are all kinds of diet foods that take out fat but replace it with sugar, which isn't much better, maybe it's even worse. Refined sugar can become an addiction and it's not at all healthy for us.
I think one of the oldest forms of diet manipulations has come in the form of "diet" drinks, like soft drinks or other liquids that have artificial sweeteners replacing refined or processed sugars. If you're worried about your diet, then you better pickup and Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, or diet something else, at least that's what this marketing hype is trying to convince you of. Buy artificial sweeteners because those are better than sugar. Is this really the case? No.

Artificial sweeteners are often excitotoxins and can alter your brain chemistry, overstimulating neuron receptors that can become exhausted. They make your taste buds go wild, making food taste better. But all that brain overstimulation can result in brain cells burning out and dying. This is something I knew before.
I know that some people are taking diet drinks with artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose or stevia in order to combat being overweight or having diabetes. People are convinced to stay away from sugars, even thinking that natural fruit sugars are bad for them, yet they still want something sweet so they run for the artificial sweeteners. But artificial sweeteners have been linked to increasing the risk of obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
I knew about this before too, but there is a recent study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal that brings this back into the news, so it's another chance for people to wake up and stop taking these dangerous substances that are "FDA approved". A systematic review of 37 studies that followed 400,000 people for 10 years. Only 7 studies were randomized, with about 1000 people followed for an average of 6 months.
It's clear that artificial sweeteners do not show a consistent effect on weight loss. Furthermore, longer observational studies show a link between artificial sweeteners and a higher risk of weight gain, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and other health issues.

Aspartame has been in the news for years about how harmful is. You can go research this on how it was discovered, and how evidently harmful it is an large doses, yet in smaller doses it doesn't have an immediate demonstration of how harmful it is. But go look into it yourself, and raise your awareness of how you are being poisoned by the food around. Aspartame has even changed it's name over the years to avoid being identified (NutraSweet, Equal), even now being marketed as a "natural sweetener" under the name AminoSweet. Lies, lies, lies.
Many years ago, I tried to help someone who had diabetes, yet was drinking diet soft drinks as a way to "mitigate" diabetes, because diet soft drinks and artificial sweeteners are "better" they believed. I tried to explain to them how not to trust the marketing of these food industries, that artificial sweeteners were worse than sugar and made diabetes worse. But they just told me that if it was true that they were being lied to they didn't want to know. They said they were going to keep buying it because that's what they prefer to believe. You can't help people that don't want the help, esepcailly if they don't want to face reality.
This is the insanity of the world we currently live in. People don't care about what's true. They just want to believe in whatever fantasy they want to believe in so they can keep doing whatever they are doing.
Companies can market and advertise things to people. People believe it, and the companies make money by making people unhealthy. If you want to pay someone to give you something that damages your body, then that's all "good" in our society. Education to know what you're actually doing? Nah... just let people stay ignorant and support bad food companies that don't give a shit about people, just the money.
I can tell you that I have never liked diet drinks. They always tasted like shit to me. It's not a good tasting sweetener. I don't drink soft drinks at all anymore, and haven't for years.
Do you drink regular soft drinks?
Do you drink diet drinks?
How do you like the taste of artificial sweeteners?
Did you know about any of these issues with artificial sweeteners?
If you have been drinking diet soft drinks or the like, will you learn more in order to stop "poisoning" yourself?

Thank you for your time and attention. Peace.

Physical Activity is Good for Your Brain and Helps Prevent Dementia

by

Aerobic exercise is known to be good for our brains. It helps improve neuronal plasticity and stimulates the creation of new neurons(neurogenesis). A decade ago this was just coming out, but it's been confirmed more since then. Exerciseis the new preventative medicineagainst cognitive impairment and dementia from old age, like a "miracle-grow" for the brain.
Physical exercise not only can benefit the metabolism of our bodies, but it also affects the energy metabolism of our brain. New research published in Translational Psychiatry involved 60 participants in a SMART study (Sport and Metabolism in Older Persons). They were all examined before and after a 12 week period of 30-minute training-sessions 3 times per week.
At the end, researchers were able to see how much of an effect physical activity had on brain metabolism, in addition to how it affected their overall physical fitness levels. As expected, physical exercise helps improve cardiac efficiency, and it also has an effect in protecting brain cells. 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity 3x/week will prevents an increase in cerebral choline levels in the brain, whereas the control group that didn't exercise had choline levels increase. Choline levels keep increasing as we get older and it has been linked to the loss of brain functions, such as those associated with dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.
I've noticed many breakthroughs this year in Alzheimer's. If you weren't aware, here is some of the research that has come out this year. Science is making progress in learning about how brain diseases work, making solutions or cures that much more possible. There are genes that have been linked to the disease, as well as sleep disorders.
And that's only for July and June 2017, plus there are some that I didn't add from this one site that related to Alzheimer's, like the recent study on pollutants in our cars while in traffic being 2x higher than the road-side testers indicated. This pollution puts oxidative stress which is thought to play a role in many diseases like Asperger's syndrome, ADHD, cancer, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, heart failure and heart attack, sickle cell disease, autism, infection, chronic fatigue syndrome and depression.
There seems to be a lot more scientific interest in Alzheimer's and neurodegenerative brain diseases this year. I hope it keeps up and we can find a way to remove this brain-death from humanity. Don't underestimate the power of exercise for both the body and mind. Move each day until you die :)
I have to admit I'm not much of an exerciser. I rollerblade places, and do some weights now and then, and use my exercise bike a bit. But I should really get into it more.
How are you on exercise?
Do you know you need to do it more but put it off?
Are you a couch potato or exercise champion?

Thank you for your time and attention. Peace.
